This program is a partnership between
Miramichi Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Miramichi
Police Force.  Under the direction of Sgt. Bob Bruce, along with many other volunteers, children attend a "mini Police Academy"
for a full week, learning what it’s like to be a police officer and observing the roles of other key players in our
community (Fire Department, Ambulance, Sherriff’s Office, etc).
This camp, complete with a staged crime scene,
is always in high demand and after years of attending, the impact on "our cadets" is still very visible.
Children involved in a Big Brothers Big Sisters program are chosen to attend this special program.
