Program Goal
Canadian Tire Jumpstart
and Miramichi Boys and Girls Club recognize that increased physical activity plays an important and essential role in healthy
development of youth. Canadian Tire JumpStart program contributes funds to ensure
that youth in Miramichi will have the opportunity to participate in recreational activity.

Annual contribution
from Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program to fund recreational activities in our community
Application Process
- Apply to Boys and Girls Club: pick up and drop off application
- Children between the ages of 4 - 18 yrs are eligible
- Equal opportunity will be provided to boys and girls
- Deadlines for applications is May 31st and September 1
Payment for Equipment
The goal of this
program is to ensure that youth who are facing financial barriers to participating in recreational activities, are given a
sporting chance!
Requests can be made for
financial assistance related to equipment costs (not registration fees).
Recommended funding available per youth
Youth ages 4 –
11 yrs: up to $200
Youth ages 12 - 18 yrs
old: up to $300
Families are eligible
to apply for funding for more than one child
Funding may be applied
for once per calendar year
Recreational Guidelines
Any sport or recreational
activity is eligible for funding to equip the youth with gear
Organized activities are
recommended i.e soccer, baseball, hockey
Decision
- Successful applicants will be notified 30 days after application deadline
