Boys and Girls Club Camp Guidelines
Camp Hours
Camp
hours are from Monday to Friday 9:00 am- 3:00 pm
Early bird drop off is 8:30am
Fees: Non-Refundable
All
fees must be paid in full prior to camp; fee is non-refundable. Payment is required within 3 days of registration...payment
secures the camp space.
New
Brunswick Day: August 4th: No camp on that day
Transportation
Van
service is available if requested at time of registration. ( within boundaries); if you choose to transport your
child please use caution when approaching our camp area. Use parking area off Maher Street when picking up and dropping
campers off.
Sneakers or crocks
For
your child’s safety, sneakers or crocks must be worn at all times ( enclosed
toe footwear ) ; sandals are not suitable for outdoor activities or games.
Outdoor
Play: All camps have playground and water play scheduled. Your child must wears clothing suitable for
outdoor activities and play (i.e- shorts, leggings, sweatpants…no skirts or dresses.) All camps will include outdoor play and water activities. Suitable footwear and a change of clothes are required!!
Label clothing, Sunscreen and lunch Bags
Please
label your child’s personal items. Unlocked storage lockers will be provided for your child’s belongings. We are
not responsible for lost items. Articles left at the Boys and Girls Club for
longer that two weeks will be disregarded.
Sunscreen
Ensure
your child brings sunscreen to camp. Sun safety is extremely important. We require that your child cooperate in protecting themselves from injury by wearing
sunscreen and a hat.
Lunch
You
must provide a lunch for your child Monday to Thursday. On Friday we will be having a hot dog barbeque… no lunch is
needed on that day. However, if your child does not like hot dogs, please provide
a lunch for them. We have a cooler to store your child’s lunch.
Camp Rules
Each
child will be made aware of camp rules on the first day of camp. Each child is expected to respect the rules outlined. If
a child refuses to follow the rules, contact will be made with parents to discuss appropriate action.
Phone Calls
Phone
is for emergency use only.
Walking or biking to camp
If
your child is walking or biking to camp you must sign a separate consent form. We
are not responsible for your child prior to arriving at camps or after they leave the facility. Please ensure that your child has a lock to secure their bike. We
do have a bike rack on site.
Leaving Site Early
If
your child must leave the program early, you must provide a note to the camp leader.
Campers are not permitted to leave site unless accompanied by an adult. Please
notify the leader prior to departure.
Staff on site at all times
First
aid Trained Staff will be on site at all times; all activities, breaks and lunch hours are supervised.
