Fun While You Wait

children who are waiting for a Match in an Agency sponsored program

children will have the opportunity to participate in 3 or
4 “outings” throughout the course of the summer

groups
will be identified by age, likes and similar interests and activities planned accordingly

presents
an opportunity for a child to interact with other children in a supervised and appropriate setting and not feel isolated

identifies
new kids who would benefit from Big Brothers/ Big Sisters
Kids ‘n’ Kops
- this week long “Academy” is for boys and girls
- program is a partnership between the Miramichi Police Force and Miramichi
Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
- children are involved in events, games and activities that are directly
related to the field of Police work
- children learn about fingerprinting, ride in squad car, participate in a
Crime Scene investigation, view a K9 demonstration and have field trips to the Court House as well as the Miramichi Correctional
Youth Facility
- week ends with a graduation from the “academy”
